LAYLAND MUSEUM

Cleburne, Texas

One of only a dozen historic Carnegie Libraries remaining in Texas, the present day Layland Museum was completed in 1904 and houses the extensive collection of one of Cleburne's most interesting and colorful citizens. It is the centerpiece of the museum's collection of in-situ historic buildings, which includes the 1869 Doty-Fullerton House, a circa 1914 downtown commercial building and a 1949 railroad caboose.
