The Lakewood Theater continues its transformation with the latest activity being today’s removal of the lighted ball at the top of the main tower. Difficult to access, few have seen it up close. It was removed today to allow Kiefer-Starlite to fully restore it in their shop. For those interested, I measured it at 3’ in diameter with 592, 10watt bulbs giving it it’s nighttime “sparkle”.
